Friends learning and playing Mahjong

Mahjong, What's That ?

Simply put, Mahjong is a tile game of Chinese origin for all ages in the rummy family and is played typically with four people. It's a sociable, competitive, exciting and addictive game that exercises your mind. Are you open to meeting new people, making new friends, and learning something new? Then you are definitely in the right place!

...It all started with a casual invite to a friend’s house. Learning the tile names, hearing them click against the table and laughing at all the crazy rules, I was officially hooked. Since then, my friendships have grown stronger, and the mahjong community grown bigger. And despite the number of years that have passed, I still feel that same sense of excitement every time I first set my eyes on the 13 tiles that I am dealt.

My love affair with mahjong grew very quickly as I came to appreciate all the benefits of playing, from keeping your mind sharp to making social connections.  The game has such a beautiful, rich, and diversified history that is rarely talked about. I am fortunate to be able to share my passion and its story with others and watch this community grow. A community of shared interests, friendships, and philanthropy.

I teach private & community classes for beginner and intermediate players. I plan mahjong themed events, and host monthly Mahjong soirees at my home where all students are welcome. And finally, I look forward to joining efforts with you to hold your very own Mahjong fundraiser.

In 2023, Little Miss Mahjong was born in Montreal, Canada. And just as it is customary to start each game with the ritual building of the walls, it is my constant reminder that good things take time to build.

“Welcome to our community, I am thrilled to have you along for the ride.”
